Premier Street Rod’s Twin-Turbo Chevy Truck Stole the Show at Motorama 2025
Posted by The Collectors Team on Apr 3rd 2025
When we rolled into Motorama this year, we expected to see some wild builds—but nothing hit us like the Premier Street Rod twin-turbo Chevy truck. This beast of a build didn’t just draw a crowd—it stopped people dead in their tracks. If you’re into high-horsepower classics, flawless bodywork, and old-school trucks built better than factory fresh, this one’s for you.
Meet the Builders: Premier Street Rod
Premier Street Rod Parts & Manufacturing isn’t your average parts house. These guys eat, sleep, and breathe classic Chevy trucks. They specialize in 1947–1972 GM truck cabs and build full-blown, award-winning turn-key street rods from the ground up. Their shop's been pumping out some of the cleanest restorations and street builds in the game, and it shows in every weld, every seam, and every custom detail.
With a full in-house paint and body team, world-class craftsmen, and a passion for pushing the limits, the Premier crew doesn’t just sell parts—they build legends.
The Build: A 1,000-HP Street Rod That’s All Show and All Go

Let’s talk about the truck. Under the hood? A GM 356 LX crate motor fitted with twin 66mm Precision turbos pushing out an earth-shaking 1,000 horsepower. This setup isn’t just for looks—it’s for laying down power and turning heads.
Engine & Drivetrain Highlights
- GM 356 LX crate engine
- Twin 66mm Precision turbos
- Holley high-rise intake & EFI system
- Custom headers and full exhaust
- 4L80E automatic transmission
- MSD ignition and wiring by American Autowire
Everything in this engine bay is custom and clean. It’s one of those setups where you could stare for hours and still miss something.
Chassis & Suspension
Built on a GSI Machine & Fab chassis, this truck’s planted with air ride at all four corners using RideTech shocks and a Watts link rear setup. Wilwood disc brakes bring it all to a stop, and Billet Specialties Concave Series wheels wrapped in sticky Nitto INVO rubber keep it glued to the road.
Interior
The inside is just as slick. A hand-stitched black leather bench from Ron Mangus Interiors, square weave carpeting, and a custom dash loaded with Dakota Digital HDX gauges brings modern tech to this vintage ride. Vintage Air keeps things cool, while a stealthy Kicker sound system handles the tunes.
Why This Build Matters
It’s not just another shiny truck. This build proves that Premier Street Rod isn’t playing around. They’ve got the know-how, the tools, and the fire in their belly to take a classic and turn it into something that’d win trophies at SEMA or tear up the blacktop at your local show.
They know what works and what doesn’t—because they live this life every day in the shop, building some of the toughest and cleanest street rods on the scene.
Some Thoughts on Motorama
We met folks from Oklahoma to Nova Scotia at Motorama this year. From Model T owners to Fox Body fanatics and monster truck lifers—we saw it all. But this Premier build? It’s the one people are still talking about. Meeting Chip Foose and the Rust Valley Garage crew was awesome, but seeing this twin-turbo Chevy up close was the real highlight.
Got a build of your own? Need parts or advice from folks who know these trucks inside and out? Hit up Premier Street Rod—they’re not just builders, they’re part of the community.
