Package Tray Replacement for Classic Cars

The package tray is the first thing you see when you look inside your car from its rear windshield. If the package tray is missing, you’ll be looking directly into the trunk. In most classic cars, the package tray comprises a relatively rigid, self-supporting panel mounted on supports attached to the body, behind the rear seat. You got it! It’s the panel where the rear speakers are installed.

What if the Package Tray is Broken or Missing?

If you are trying to restore a vintage vehicle, you are most probably going to need a new package tray anyway. You are in luck because Collectors Auto Supply carries the most extensive variety of package trays to restore classic, vintage and antique cars from America’s most legendary brands. We can manufacture a customized replacement package tray for your classic Ford, Chevrolet, Blazer, Mustang, Lincoln, Cadillac, Dodge, Buick, GMC, or any other classic American vehicle that you want to restore.

What is the Package Tray Made Of?

There are two kinds of package trays that we have—aftermarket style package trays and OE style replication package trays. The aftermarket package trays are made of black ABS plastic, but you can have them painted in a color that goes with your car’s interior. And the OE style replication package trays are made of fiberboard/cardboard or wood, depending on what the manufacturer originally used. There are a few package trays that come covered in carpet. Make sure you read the list of compatible models at the bottom of each product’s page and select the right package tray for your car.

Will the Replacement Tray have Speaker Holes?

Aftermarket package trays come with and without speaker holes. Double-check that you are buying the right part for your car’s make and model, and that the speaker holes are where you want them to be. Alternatively, you can easily cut through the fiberboard or cardboard material and install the speakers.
